What is the daily word game?

The daily word game is a free puzzle where you try to find a hidden 5-letter word in 6 guesses. After each guess the letters are colored: green means the right spot, yellow means the letter is in the word but somewhere else, gray means it is not in the word at all. Use these clues to narrow the possibilities and reach the word of the day.

The game runs entirely in your browser; no sign-up, installation or payment. Besides English there are Turkish and German versions, each with its own daily word.

Tips to win

  • Start with a word rich in vowels and common consonants (r, s, t, l, n).
  • Always reuse yellow letters in a different position on your next guess.
  • Never reuse gray letters; they shrink the possibilities fast.
  • Prioritize untested letters on your second guess.
  • Protect your streak: don't burn the last try unless you're confident.

Solving the word on consecutive days increases your streak by one. Missing a day or failing resets it. Data is stored only in this device's browser.

Why is my guess not accepted?

Guesses must be real 5-letter words from our dictionary. Words that are not in the list trigger a warning.
