Privacy Policy

Decision Wheel (kararcarki.co) is a web application operated by Yegcode. Under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) No. 6698 and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Yegcode is the data controller responsible for processing your personal data.

When you create an account, we store your username, email address, profile picture (if you upload one) and a hashed version of your password.

When you create a wheel or comment, content data such as the wheel title, options, description and creation timestamp is stored.

When you join a room, the room code, the options you add, and the room activity are temporarily stored.

Automatically collected technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent and referrer URL (anonymized, for analytics).

We process the data above to: provide and operate the service, manage your account, improve user experience, measure service quality (analytics), prevent spam and abuse, and meet our legal obligations.

Under KVKK Article 5/2 and GDPR Article 6, the legal bases include performance of contract, legitimate interest, explicit consent (for analytics cookies) and legal obligation.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Data is shared only in the following cases: with our infrastructure providers (hosting, email, analytics); with competent authorities when required by law; with your consent.

Third-party services we use include Google Analytics (for anonymized usage statistics) and Vercel (hosting infrastructure).

Our site uses essential cookies (session, theme preference) and optional analytics cookies (Google Analytics). On your first visit we show a cookie consent banner to obtain your explicit consent for analytics cookies.

Under Google Consent Mode v2, no analytics data is collected unless you accept. You can change your preference at any time via our cookie policy or your browser settings.

We retain account data until you delete your account. After deletion, removal from technical backups takes up to 30 days.

Analytics data is automatically deleted or anonymized after 14 months. Data subject to legal retention requirements is kept for the duration prescribed by the relevant law.

Under KVKK Article 11 and GDPR Articles 15-22 you have the right to: know whether your personal data is being processed, access processed data, request correction, request deletion, restrict processing, data portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent.

Decision Wheel is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware of such data, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will indicate material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of the page and, if necessary, by posting a notice on the site. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
